Early morning misbehavior

When it’s not a school day, little ones, the first hour of any morning normally begins like this.

Mommy and Charlie try to sleep while Clara tries desperately to awake them.

This annoys Mommy a great deal. Probably Charlie, too. 

   

Joyous grandparents

We had breakfast at The Pond House, little ones, with Nani and Gramps.

Not surprising, they were more interested to the two of you than their food.

 

I’m not even a chap

You’ve referred to me as “old chap” two times today, little one.

I have no idea where you learned this, but I don’t like the implication in terms of my age.

Big girl bed on the horizon

You remain in your crib, little one, but before long, the crib will be moving into Charlie’s new room and you will be in a big girl bed of your very own.

You’ve specifically requested a blue bed. I’m not sure if that is going to happen, but we’ll see.

The Baby Whisperer

Gramps is a baby whisperer, at least when it comes to you, little Charlie.

This is not the first time he has garnered this level of focused joy from you.

This is something I will always remember

Glug. Glug.

Your first bottle, little one!

It went okay. You didn’t exactly love it, but you drank it.

Cartwheel training

Mary Kay gave you your first cartwheel training, little one. You didn’t nail it on the first try, but you’re getting there.

Best of all, you were persistent.

Daddy and Charlie stare down

Let us hope, little Charlie, that all of our future stare downs are as joyous and amusing as this one.
