As a parent, little one, you never know when your child is going to do something that will cause your heart to soar (or sink). One minute your child is lying about the obvious poop in her diaper and the next minute she is breaking your heart with an act of unplanned grace and generosity.
Like yesterday, when you said, “I’ll be right back!” and ambled up the stairs to your bedroom. You returned a couple minutes later with a handful of books, plopped yourself down on the floor next to your sleeping brother, and began reading to him for the first time.
It was one of those perfect parental moments that Mommy and I will remember for a long, long time.
