We spent Sunday afternoon in Yorktown Heights at Evan’s graduation party, little one, and I regret to report that you were not in the finest of moods. This was primarily due to your newfound obsession with baby Ari and your inability to spend every waking second with him.
Once Aunty Emily and Uncle Michael arrived with the baby, your entire existence was centered upon him. “Baby! Baby! Baby!” you called over and over again, desperation ringing through your voice. All you wanted to do was to stare at him, touch him, poke him and point him out to the world. When Ari had to go upstairs to nurse or when someone else deigned to spend a little time with him, you were miserable. Only Nanni’s superior iPhone apps offered us a reprieve from your cries and wails.
Despite your less-than-pleasant mood, we had a good time at the party and actually met someone named Cara Sue who had been named after her grandmother, Clara. How one gets credit for being named after someone without the use of the actual name is beyond my ability to reason, but it’s also not uncommon.
And you looked adorable in your blue tutu, little one. The last couple photos are some of my favorites of you and Mommy of all time!
do i recognize that dress as being from rhode island???
