I was just thinking:
If Barack Obama wins the Presidential election in November, you will be born into a world with an African-American President.
How extraordinary.
And a far cry from the world in which your mother and I emerged. After 210 years and 43 Caucasian Presidents, our country is on the brink of a historic change.
But for you, the thought of a black President may seem
almost ordinary.
How remarkable that may be.
