I love the music that you are making, little one, but I think I love the hat the best.
While your interest in the musical instruments leads me to think that music will be a part of your life for a long time, the hat leads me to believe you might actually have a career in music someday.
Musicians always have a signature style. Perhaps yours will be the bunny hat.

You’re a big fan of the Three Little Pigs, little one.
Gramps first taught you the story with the help of the Three Little Pigs houses that he gave to you.
Then it was reinforced through repeated viewings of the story on The Wonder Pets.
Lately we have been reading an odd, morally ambiguous but otherwise entertaining version of the story to you in which the wolf appears at the door of the brick house wearing sheepskin.
Now we hear you acting out your own version of the story quite often, with a variety of other animals and little people getting involved from time to time.

You’ve become quite the puzzler, little one. You currently own three jigsaw puzzles, with pieces ranging from 12 to 30, and you can complete all three independently, even though you insist on receiving help.
Your definition of help is having me or Mommy (but more often me) sit beside you while you complete the puzzle.
Unfortunately, I despise jigsaw puzzles, little one. I think of them as a complete waste of time, akin to things like Sudoku and word finds. When you’ve finished, you have nothing to show for your work except a complete image that will soon be broken again.
In fact, the only time in my life that I have enjoyed putting a jigsaw puzzle together has been with you, little one. And that has more to do with you than the puzzle.

You’ve been asking us to scratch your tushy a lot, little one. You walk over to me or Mommy, turn around and make the request.
Sometimes you actually offer an “Ahhh…” or a “That’s better.”
We’re assuming that this is your first, unorthodox step towards potty training.
Please?

Mommy: You should try the green ice cream. I bet you'd like it.
You: I bet I don't like it.

Conversation between you and me before bed, little one:
Me: I'm going to dream about you tonight.
You: Don't. I have to dream about me.
So selfish.

"Crocodiles lay eggs because they are reptiles." - Clara, age 3.
Mommy and I cannot stand the television program Wild Animal Baby Explorers. The characters are extremely annoying and the music is painful.
Yet it is apparently quite educational, little one. You love the live footage of the animals, and the annoying characters don’t seem to bother you.
As long as you’re learning, I’ll put up with it. For now.
